ActionPPV privacy policy

Last updated 7 September 2026

This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, and what your rights are. It covers the website at actionppv.com and the ActionPPV apps for iPhone and Android.

Delete your ActionPPV account or request account data deletion

1. Who we are

Action PPV Limited (company number 17406295), 71 to 75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom. We are the controller of the personal data described here. You can reach us at hello@actionppv.com.

2. What we collect

If you are a fan buying a pass

  • The email address you enter at checkout. We use it to deliver your pass and to send you service emails about it, such as the pass itself, the event going live, replay availability or expiry, and cancellations.
  • Purchase details such as the event, the price, the time, and any refund or dispute history. Payment is processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card details.
  • Watch data. When your pass link is used, we process a session identifier and technical details such as IP address, device and browser information. We use this information to run the player, apply the two screen limit, and count viewers for the club.

If you run a club

  • Your account email and password. Passwords are stored hashed, so we cannot read them.
  • Club details you provide, such as name, sport, logo, event listings and posters.
  • Broadcast agreement details, including your signed name, the agreement version and the date you accept it.
  • Payment onboarding, handled by Stripe, which collects identity and bank details directly as the law requires. We see onboarding status and payout information. We do not receive the identity documents you give to Stripe.
  • Sales and payout records for your events.

Everyone. Standard technical logs such as IP address and request data, kept for security and to keep the service running.

We do not run third party advertising or cross-site tracking. Optional Mux Data playback quality monitoring on the fan watch page is described in our cookie notice.

3. Camera and microphone in the mobile apps

The app asks for camera and microphone access, and only uses them once you have given permission. They are used to set up and run a club broadcast. While you are broadcasting, live audio and video are sent to our video streaming infrastructure and on to the fans watching. A recording may be made so the club and its fans can watch a replay or download the footage, for the retention period shown to the club.

Broadcasting cannot work without camera and microphone permission. You can change or withdraw either permission at any time in your iPhone or Android device settings.

4. Photos and recording downloads in the mobile apps

On iPhone, the app accesses your photo library when you choose a poster image or give permission to save a recording to Photos.

On Android, the system photo picker gives the app access only to the image you choose for an event poster. Downloaded recordings can be saved to files or shared using your device's sharing controls.

We do not scan or index your photo library, and we do not read photos you have not chosen.

5. Broadcast reliability information

While a broadcast is running, the app records a small amount of technical information so we can tell why a stream struggled and put it right. This covers battery percentage, charging state, connection type, measured upload speed, connection quality, whether low power mode is on, the state of the stream, retry events, timestamps, and whether the app is in the foreground.

The app does not collect your location, WiFi network names, raw mobile or WiFi radio strength, your contacts, or the advertising identifier.

Broadcast reliability logs are deleted automatically after 90 days.

6. Device authentication

The protected admin area uses Face ID or the device passcode on iPhone, and supported biometrics or the device screen lock on Android. The operating system carries out the check on your device and tells the app only whether it passed. We do not receive or store facial data, fingerprints or passcode details.

7. Why we use it and our lawful bases

  • To deliver what you asked for under contract. This covers delivering passes and streams, running club accounts, running broadcasts, processing payments and refunds, and sending service emails.
  • Legitimate interests. Keeping the platform secure, preventing fraud and pass abuse, holding the screen limit, keeping broadcasts reliable, showing clubs how their events performed, and defending legal claims.
  • Legal obligation. Keeping transaction records for tax and accounting.
  • Consent. Only where we ask for it, including device permissions such as camera, microphone and Photos. We do not send marketing email without consent.

8. Who we share it with

  • The club whose event you bought. Clubs see buyer emails masked by default. The club owner can reveal a buyer email only for a proper reason connected to that sale, such as handling a refund. Clubs must not use it for marketing without a lawful basis of their own.
  • Stripe, for payment processing, refunds, fraud prevention and club payouts.
  • Our service providers. Video streaming and delivery infrastructure, optional playback quality monitoring by Mux Data, email delivery by Resend, and hosting. Our database and backend run in the United Kingdom, in London. They process data only on our instructions.
  • Professional advisers and authorities where the law requires it.

We do not sell personal data.

9. International transfers

Some of our providers, for example Stripe and Resend, process data in the United States. Where data leaves the United Kingdom we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as the UK Extension to the EU to US Data Privacy Framework, or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum, as applicable.

10. How long we keep it

  • Purchase and payout records. Up to 6 years, for tax and accounting.
  • Pass and watch session data. For the life of the event and its replay window, then routine deletion from active systems.
  • Stream recordings. Deleted automatically on the schedule shown to the club. Replays run for the window shown on the event page, and recordings are removed after their stated retention date. Deleted events are purged 60 days after being put in the trash.
  • Broadcast reliability logs. 90 days.
  • Club accounts. While the account is open, then routine deletion.
  • Security logs. Short rotation periods.

11. Deleting your account

In the ActionPPV app on iPhone or Android, open More → Account controls → Delete Account and confirm the request.

You can also request deletion without installing or opening the app. Email hello@actionppv.com with the subject ActionPPV account deletion, and tell us the email address linked to your account. This requests deletion of your account and its associated personal data.

Once your account deletion request is confirmed, login access is disabled straight away, and the personal data held with your account is removed within 30 days.

We may keep records we are required to keep, including purchase, payout, tax, refund, dispute, fraud prevention and legal records. These are normally kept for up to 6 years.

12. Children

Passes may only be bought by people aged 18 or over, and the platform is not directed at children. Streams of grassroots sport may show participants under 18. The club running the event is responsible for holding parental or guardian consent for anyone under 18 appearing in its broadcast. If you have a concern about footage of a child, contact us at hello@actionppv.com and we will deal with it promptly.

13. Your rights

You have the right to ask for access to your data, correction, deletion, restriction of processing and portability, and to object to processing based on legitimate interests. Email hello@actionppv.com. We aim to respond within a month. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, although we would appreciate the chance to sort it out first.

14. Cookies and device storage

The website uses only essential cookies and similar storage, such as login sessions for club accounts and Stripe payment and fraud prevention cookies during checkout. See our Cookie notice. The iPhone and Android apps do not use advertising or tracking technology. Each keeps your login token in secure device storage so you stay signed in.

Android event reminders are scheduled on your phone using event details already loaded by the app. The reminder schedule stays on your device; scheduling reminders does not upload reminder settings or register a push notification token with our servers.

15. Your choices on iPhone and Android

Camera, microphone and notification permissions can be changed at any time in your device settings. Turning off camera or microphone access stops broadcasting from working. On iPhone, you can also change permission to save recordings to Photos. On Android, you choose which poster image to provide through the system photo picker; access to your whole photo library is not required.

16. Changes

We will update this policy as the service changes, and we will change the date at the top. If a change affects you significantly, we will tell you by email or on the site.
