How to prepare your ActionPPV stream before going live
Check your phone, connection and permissions before starting. ActionPPV has no private test-stream mode.
ActionPPV does not currently offer a private test stream. Starting your event begins a real broadcast.
Do not start and end your event the day before as a rehearsal. Once ended, the same event cannot be restarted.
Prepare without starting the broadcast:
- Install and sign in to the ActionPPV app on your iPhone or Android phone.
- Check that you can access the correct event.
- Check camera and microphone permissions.
- Position the phone securely and check the framing and lighting.
- Test the venue connection from the place you will film.
- Check battery, charging arrangements and interruption settings.
If you use the phone's camera to check a local recording, close it before opening the broadcast in ActionPPV. A local recording checks picture and sound; it does not test the complete live-streaming service.
You can begin the real broadcast up to 15 minutes before the scheduled event time. Once live, an authorised viewer can check picture and sound on a second device.
